Lowering Baud Rate on HP Fax Machines

You can set the Baud rate with the following:

• Press the * and # keys at the same time.
• Press 1, then 2, then 3. (Release each key before pressing the next.)
• Select System Configuration, then select R/W parameters and press Enter.
• Press 153 and then Enter.
• Press 2*, then Enter. The value should display.
• Next, press Cancel repeatedly until you exit the service menu.

The following may also be necessary:

• Press Setup.
• Select Advanced Fax Setup and press OK.
• Next select Fax Speed and then OK.
• Select Slow for 9600 or Medium for 14,400. Then press OK.

You can set the Baud rate with the following:

• Service should now display, press the right arrow button until R/W parameters appears. Then press Enter.
• You should see parameter 0. Press 2, then Enter.
• Next, press Cancel repeatedly until you exit the service menu.

You can set the Baud rate with the following:

• Navigate to the Advanced Menu, First go to Setup, Press 4 for Advanced Fax Setup.
• Select Slow Setting
• Save Settings
  

You can set the Baud rate with the following:

• Press the * and # keys at the same time.
• Press 1, then 2, then 3. (Release each key before pressing the next.)
• The display should show Service, press the right arrow button once and System Configuration should display. Press Enter.
• Press the right arrow button until R/W parameters appears. Then press Enter.
• You should see parameter 0. Press 153, then Enter.

You can set the Baud rate with the following:

• Press and hold the * key for 3 to 5 seconds until the display screen reads Test -001+
• Enter in 620 on the key board and press the Check Mark so the screen will read Cfg param id:.
• Enter the parameter 159 for the Receiving Baud Rate on the key board then press the Check Mark so that Cfg param val: 26 displays.
• The screen will read Cfg param val: 26.
• Enter in the value 6 which equals 9600 (V.29) and then press the Check Mark.
• The screen will read Test -001+
• Press the Reset button until you get back to Ready*.
• Repeat the settings entering parameter 153 for the Transmitting Fax baud rate.
